Abstract

I will utilize the protein space analogy to explore modern concepts in evolutionary theory, population genetics, and biomedicine. Specifically, I will chronicle my research group's research in evolvability, and in the development of evolution-inspired metrics for dru(g)ability. In doing so, I emphasize the possibility of combining conceptual, quantitative and empirical methods to simultaneously address questions that are both theoretically interesting and practically relevant.
