Abstract

In this talk, I will present evidence that the eukaryotic cell cycle, i.e. the process of cell growth and division, might be controlled by a metabolic oscillator. For this work, for which we used budding yeast as a model, we combined time-lapse microscopy, targeted environmental perturbations and conditional protein depletion experiments, as well as model-based analyses, for instance, with Kuramoto models.
