Abstract

I will try to share my enthusiasm for adopting grammatical representations in biology. Introducing the concept of grammar, grammar classes, parsing and grammar induction, we will recount some basic theoretical results, existing biological applications and finish with some of my work in progress for grammar applications in protein motif discovery and graph structure analysis.
